England hired Henry Hudson to find the Northwest passage . He set of in a  ship called Discovery. He found the Hudson straight and the Hudson bay .  He and his crew spent the winter in a  hut because the discovery was frozen . Even after the winter he continued to search for the Northwest passage . His crew got mad and threw him and a few people over board in a boat with n oars and they were never seen again . I think he froze to death.
